Welcome to the central information page for Summer Sessions. This page includes arrival and dismissal procedures, supply lists, required forms, program reminders, and updates for Primary, Elementary, and Middle School families.
Please bookmark this page for reference throughout the summer.
Some families may not be attending Summer Sessions until later in the season. The information below applies when your child’s enrolled session begins and will remain available throughout the summer. Use the quick links below to jump directly to your child’s program.

Farmers Market Reminder: Families are encouraged to stop by the St. Helena Farmers Market on Friday mornings at Crane Park to purchase produce and handmade items from the AP students.

Primary Program
Arrival
Doors open at 9:00am. Sign in at the table along the main concrete path from the parking lot.
Dismissal
Noon for Half-Day; 1:00pm for children staying through lunch; 3:00pm for Full-Day and nappers.
Required Forms
State Licensing Forms must be completed and on file before your child’s start date.
Bring
Sunhat, water bottle, labeled sunscreen, extra clothes, and lunch/snack if staying past noon.
Please notify the school if your child will stay for nap from 1:00 to 3:00pm or will need Extended Day Care until 5:00pm.
Primary children must be signed in and out by an authorized adult. The State Licensing Forms inform the classroom staff to whom a child can be released. Parents may call or email the Front Office to add new authorized adults if needed.
Children should wear suitable clothing for the weather, but please avoid character and media-themed attire. Jewelry is not permitted. Children should arrive with sunscreen already applied and must be able to re-apply it themselves. Staff may not apply sunscreen.
Primary Reminders
- Please label sunscreen clearly. Staff may secure sunscreen during the day, but children must be able to apply it themselves.
- Fridays typically begin with water play or sports. Children may arrive in swimwear with dry clothes packed in a reusable bag or container suitable for wet swimwear.
- On Friday, each child will bring home an art bag with their work. If your child is returning, please save and return the bag.
- If your child takes home clothing, please replenish extra clothes the following morning.
- If your child stays through lunch or for the full day, please pack a healthy snack and lunch. Involving your child in preparation is encouraged.
Elementary Program
Arrival
Drop off in front of the Administrative Building between 8:50 and 9:00am.
Dismissal
Pick up in front of the Administrative Building at 3:00pm.
Theme
Medieval Adventures Await: castles, villages, chivalry, storytelling, illuminated manuscripts, cathedrals, artisan work, and Renaissance thinking.
Bring
Weather-appropriate clothing, water bottle, sun protection, lunch/snack, and items from the supply list.
Please notify the school as soon as possible if your child will attend Extended Day Care from 3:00 to 5:00pm.
The Elementary Program allows more independence. Children may be dropped off in front of the Administrative Building, where they will be greeted by classroom staff and guided to the classroom. Please avoid character and media-themed attire.
Students will enter the world of castles, villages, chivalry, storytelling, illuminated manuscripts, Gothic cathedrals, early inventions, artisan workshops, and Renaissance thinking. The summer experience will include reading, art, science, farm work, cooking, gardening, water play, sports, and games.
The Elementary Program is also participating in the St. Helena Library’s Summer Reading Challenge. There will be occasional trips to the public library to replenish and return books. The permission form above should be signed and returned in advance for any child who may join these outings. School vans and/or a staff vehicle will be used for transport. There is no cost to participate.
Middle School Program
Arrival
Arrive in the Great Room at 9:00am for morning check-in and meeting.
Bring
Lunch from home, sunscreen, hat, and work-ready clothing.
Clothing
Work jeans or comfortable farm clothes. No tank tops. Shorts should be of modest length. Avoid character and media-themed attire.
Devices
Cell phones, smart watches, and wearable digital devices are not permitted on campus.
The Middle School Summer Program centers on purposeful work, increasing independence, and real contribution. Students will engage in farm, garden, shop, animal care, harvesting, practical work, and academic continuity, with opportunities connected to the St. Helena Farmers Market enterprise.
Any student who brings a phone, smart watch, or wearable digital device will be required to turn it in to the Front Office upon arrival and may collect it at dismissal.
