Metal I

Metal I introduces students to the foundational principles of metalworking within a highly structured and safety-conscious shop environment. Students study measurement, print reading, and material properties before progressing to welding techniques, thermal cutting processes, and basic fabrication. Instruction includes exposure to industry-standard codes, inspection methods, and fabrication techniques. Students engage in purposeful projects that develop precision, responsibility, and respect for the tools and materials of the trade.
