Students learn core skills such as planting, transplanting, harvesting, propagation, and the diagnosis of common plant growth challenges. Instruction emphasizes soil science, particularly the understanding of soil as a living system requiring nourishment and responsible management. Students apply organic amendments and study local pests and invasive weeds. Through daily participation in crop care, students contribute to harvest planning and gain insight into local, small-scale agricultural markets.
