Auto Shop II builds on the skills acquired in the introductory course and offers students an in-depth study of advanced automotive systems. Instruction covers engine machining, brakes, ignition systems, fuel delivery systems, HVAC operations, computer control diagnostics, emission systems, and suspension and alignment. Students complete a substantial portion of the course in the auto shop, applying skills through hands-on projects. Emphasis is placed on accurate diagnostics, safe tool use, and the integration of technical knowledge into increasingly complex repair scenarios.
