Spanish II

Spanish II builds upon the foundations of Spanish I, guiding students into more complex grammar, vocabulary, and cultural understanding. In this course, students learn to describe family relationships in detail and expand their use of descriptive and possessive adjectives, as well as words that express position. The class places strong emphasis on the present tense of irregular and highly useful verbs such as tener and venir, helping students use them confidently in everyday expressions. Students also deepen their vocabulary related to sports, hobbies, and daily activities. The course elaborates on the conjugation and practical use of the verb ir, including the prepositions that commonly follow it. Students continue to strengthen their oral skills through debates, structured discussions, and day-to-day conversational practice. In addition, they engage with more complex readings from across the Spanish-speaking world and explore cultural aspects such as art, sports, traditions, and regional customs, enriching their understanding of the diverse Spanish-speaking community.
