Spanish I

Spanish I is an introductory course designed to build a strong foundation in Spanish grammar and vocabulary. Students work toward mastering the verbs ser and estar, learning to conjugate them accurately and understand their distinct uses. The course also covers the proper use of definite and indefinite articles, telling time, and conjugating regular -ar, -er, and -ir verbs. Students practice forming questions, expand their knowledge of numbers, and begin developing confidence in basic communication. We also dedicate time each Monday to guided conversation practice, allowing students to apply what they’ve learned in real, interactive contexts. In addition, the course incorporates reading activities and cultural exploration of Spanish-speaking countries, helping students connect language learning with the richness of the Spanish-speaking world.
