Introduction to Physics
Introduction to Physics explores the fundamental concepts of energy, motion, and forces through hands-on, inquiry-based learning. The course encourages wonder and builds critical thinking as students engage in real-world applications of physics, including building mechanical models, testing variables like friction and force, and designing their own experiments. Lessons are designed to support collaboration, observation, and reflection, where students often work in small groups to hypothesize, test, and analyze outcomes. By the end of the term, each student will complete a project of their choice that demonstrates their understanding of core physical science principles and build a deeper understanding and appreciation for how the physical world works.
