Drama

This Drama elective provides students with opportunities to perform dramatic, comedic, and tragic excerpts, scenes, and full plays from both classical and 

contemporary works, as well as student-driven original compositions. Students engage in activities such as improvisation, pantomime, monologues, dialogues, scene work, and speeches. Throughout the process, students give and receive constructive feedback on vocal delivery, physical expression, and stage positioning. They learn techniques for voice projection, effective movement, and integrating song with musical accompaniment. Significant time is devoted to script reading, analysis, editing, rehearsal, and memorization. At the end of the academic year, students present polished stage performances to peers and to the wider school community.
