Decorative High School Brown Post Thumbnail

Algebra 1 covers elementary algebra concepts including a review of operations on the set of real numbers, order of operations and evaluating expressions, linear equations and inequalities with one and two variables (two-equation systems), graphing equations and inequalities, exponents and polynomials, introduction to rational expressions, introduction to radicals and rational exponents, an introduction to functions, quadratic functions, and direct and inverse variation. Advanced students will also be able to cover a few Algebra 2 topics. Students work individually and have daily homework; the method and pace of instruction are tailored to each student. Each unit includes the introduction and practice of relevant concepts and skills and ends with a cumulative assessment.
