Admissions Process

Following the campus visit and application, the admissions process proceeds through several steps designed to ensure a thoughtful match between the child, the family, and the school.

Admissions Timeline

October – December
Prospective families submit inquiries and visit campus.

January – February
Applications are submitted and student observations or shadow days take place. Financial aid applications are completed during this period.

February
Re-enrollment begins for current SHMS families.

March
Admissions decisions for the coming school year are finalized and enrollment for new families begins.

Spring – Summer
Newly enrolled families participate in orientation and transition visits before the start of the school year.

Rolling Admissions
Applications remain active throughout the year. When space becomes available within a program, qualified applicants may be invited to continue through the admissions process. Depending on age and developmental readiness, students may enter the school at different points during the academic year.
